Interview with a New Etiquette Consultant Teaching Manners To Go

We have a new etiquette consultant teaching Manners To Go. It was my absolute pleasure to spend time with Nakisha. At Manners To Go, we offer two training options. Nakisha chose the Two Day Immersion Option.  This option gives you the opportunity to meet me in person.  That’s right, we sit shoulder to shoulder for your training.  Like Nakisha, you also have the chance to observe me teaching in a “real” setting.  Not a mock session. We also offer a “live” video training option.

During our training we spent one afternoon teaching manners to middle schoolers.  Our focus was on communication skills and friendships.  We found the students to be highly engaged and eager to learn.  Of course, we fit in a class on table manners. The students were served an afternoon snack of fruit and cookies.  They learned how to set the table, how to hold a fork and where to place a napkin.  We laughed.  We shared.  We talked.

The next day we spent time together…just the two of us.  We focused on Nakisha’s training. She is already well versed on how to teach.  Nakisha is a school counselor.

Later in the day, we ended our time together over afternoon tea at The Ritz Carlton.  It was memorable.

I asked Nakisha a few questions so that you may get to know her. See her answers below.

You know we are excited to have Nakisha on the Manners To Go team.

How do you like to start your day?

I like to start my day off with meditation and shortly after a cup of coffee or tea.

What is your favorite meal to serve to your children and why?

My favorite meal to serve my children would be dinner. I enjoy making sure they have a well balanced dinner and that is the time I get to socialize and hear about their day. My children love to eat so there is no specific meal.

What advice would you give to your 21 year-old self?

Never fear anyone, live life to the fullest and have no regrets. All things happen for a reason 🙂

One woman you would like to be for the day?
